New York Government Leaders, Agencies, Awarded for IT Vision and Excellence
Top technology leaders and teams from state agencies and local governments were selected by the Center for Digital Government, a division of e.Republic, to be the recipients of its esteemed Best of New York awards. The annual awards recognize contributions, best practices, and work of distinction in the information technology arena.
This year’s awards also included agency-selected winners in the Excellence in IT Operations, Support and Service category. All award recipients were honored by the Center at a formal awards ceremony during the GTC East: The New York Digital Government Summit 2010 event on September 22.
“This year’s Best of New York award winners show New York agencies are committed to bringing transparency and openness in government,” said Cathilea Robinett, executive vice president of the Center. “These websites and Web-based tools provide important quality improvements in services as well as cost savings which are vital in today’s tight economy and tight budgets. Congratulations to the winners of this year’s awards!”
Dr. Melodie Mayberry-Stewart, chief information officer and director of the Office for Technology for the state of New York said, “Congratulations to all of the 2010 Best of New York awardees!
