Putting Our Students First

bsubold

Ball State has embarked on an ambitious $200 million capital campaign. Learn more.

Support from alumni and friends like you help us provide our students with a distinctive education—challenging programs and life-changing opportunities that prepare them to succeed and make a difference in communities across the nation and around the world.

With a difficult economy and reductions in state funding, your gift, especially to support scholarships, matters now more than ever.

Our students have their own stories about the difference a scholarship made to them, but you will find three common themes:

  • Scholarships make their education at their first-choice university—Ball State—possible.
  • Scholarships reward their hard work and academic achievement.
  • Scholarships help them pursue opportunities to do philanthropic work or advance their career.

Ball State also benefits when you support scholarships. A generous financial offer helps us recruit the brightest students and allows us to be competitive among the other institutions top-notch students can choose. Once here, these curious students contribute to a world-class learning environment.

That’s why creating 200 new scholarships is a key component of Ball State Bold, our capital campaign to raise $200 million by 2011.

Scholarships complement our other campaign priorities to attract the best professors, improve our vibrant campus, establish more immersive learning experiences, and enhance the university.

Regardless of the amount, your gift to support scholarships will help us continue to put our students first, and we appreciate your generosity.

If you are an alum, you can make your gift go further. We will receive $1 million from an anonymous alumnus donor if we grow the number of alumni donors each year, culminating at 21,000 in 2011.
