Canada's Wonderland

Ride Guidelines
Other Ride Policies

When planning your day at Canada's Wonderland, we suggest that you travel light.

Bring only items that can be safely secured in cargo pockets or a waist pack. A cargo pocket must fasten with a velcro or button flap or a zipper. A waist pack is designed to fasten around the waist with a zipper closure.

For safety reasons, purses, backpacks, beverage containers or any other loose articles may not be taken on most rides. These items may be left in a locker, your vehicle, with a non-rider, or at the owner's risk on the ride platform. However, Canada's Wonderland is not responsible for items lost, damaged or stolen. You must accept the risk for items that must be left on the platform or taken by the ride operator.

For safety reasons, taking pictures, videotaping and filming on rides are prohibited.

To ensure guests can hear safety instructions, headphones must be removed before boarding. Personal Entertainment Devices and cell phones must be secured in a zippered pocket or waist pack.

Due to potential for water damage, Riptide, Timberwolf Falls and White Water Canyon riders should leave their cameras and other valuable items with a non-rider or in a locker.

Proper Riding Attire

Footwear and shirts must be worn in the ride area. The only exception to this is for hand-held infants who cannot walk and are not required to wear shoes. On Timberwolf Falls, Riptide and White Water Canyon, guests may wear swimwear. Shoes may be left in the designated area at Timberwolf Falls and Riptide.

Line Jumping

Our line jumping policy states that if you cut into a line of waiting guests, no matter what the reason, you are inviting dismissal from the park without refund of admission. This rule is strictly enforced. LINE JUMPING IS: "CUTTING IN FRONT OF OTHER WAITING GUESTS. LEAVING THE LINE, THEN ATTEMPTING TO REENTER. THIS INCLUDES USING THE REST ROOM FACILITIES OR TO PURCHASE FOOD OR DRINKS." Once you leave your place in line, you have forfeited it, no matter what the reason. Saving a place in line is simply not permitted.

Weather Conditions That Affect Rides

Rides will close due to weather conditions, particularly rain, high winds, and/or lightning. Which rides close depends on the weather conditions. Those rides affected the most are the roller coasters and the high rides. Canada's Wonderland will make every effort to reopen the rides as quickly as possible after the rain stops.

Some rides, primarily The Fly,  Jokey's Jalopies, KidZville Station, Launch Pad, The Rage, Speed City Raceway, Spinovator, Thunder Run and Xtreme Skyflyer must close under certain rain conditions. This is because the manufacturer did not design the ride to function under such conditions.

Drop Tower, Launch Pad, Skyrider, Behemoth, WindSeeker and Xtreme Skyflyer will be closed during high wind situations.

Ghoster Coaster, Skyrider, Timberwolf Falls and White Water Canyon may close during cool weather.

A specific answer as to which rides close or remain open on a given day is not possible because varying degrees of inclement weather cause different effects on different rides.
