This is the twelfth title of the KOF series. It’s a title modified around the theme of “KOF RE-BIRTH,” and was developed to provide the ultimate battle tool void of story lines. Along with achieving unprecedentedly beautiful and smooth 2-D dot graphics of the first order, the original knockout-elimination team battles of the original replace the free-substitution battles of the previous title to fulfill our concept of offering “the most supreme 2-D competitive fighting game ever.” Intensify the thrill of bandying blows and moves using new elements like the “Critical Counter” that occur in tight battles, the “Guard Attack” which allows you to neutralize all types of blows, and “Deadlock” that arises when two attacks of greater power than normal strong attacks collide.
