What Say You About Green Lantern?

Green Lantern hits theatres today. And judging by our review of the film and its Rotten Tomatoes score, that sounds like a threat.

For those of you who have seen Hal Jordan's first live-action movie, what say you? Where does it rank amongst the other comic book movies? Is it one of the best movies adpated from a DC comic? Up there with Jonah Hex and Steel? (See what we did thar?)

As big fans of Geoff Johns' run with the character, IGN Movies expected more from director Martin Campbell's first comic book movie, especially with Johns serving as DC Entertainment's Chief Creative Officer during the movie's development process. But we want to know what the other citizens of Nerdville think? How well did the movie adapt the characters? Did you like Hector Hammond's testicle-shaped forehead, or Parallax's intergalactic cloud of space tentacles?

What did GL get right, and what marks did it completely miss? Also, what did you think of how the movie used CG to tell its story?
