Another actor has been added to the ranks of Man of Steel, producer Christopher Nolan and director Zack Snyder's Superman reboot.

Variety reports that actor Harry Lennix -- known to fanboys as Commander Lock in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions -- "has closed a deal to play a high-ranking military officer named General Swanwick in Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' tentpole, set for December 2012."

In addition to his roles in the Matrix sequels, Lennix's other credits include State of Play, Ray, 24, Dollhouse, Little Britain (as the Obama lookalike President), ER and Stomp the Yard.

Man of Steel starts filming this summer.
