Belgian U18 international Brice Ntambwe has signed a two-year professional deal with Blues
Blues youngsters Brice Ntambwe and Will Packwood have spoken of their delight at putting pen-to-paper on their first professional contracts.
The 18-year-old international midfielders both signed two-year deals with the club earlier today.
Ntambwe, a Belgium U18 international who joined the club two years ago as an Academy Scholar, said: "I'm very happy with deal.
"Since I came over when I was 16 from Brussels I think I've developed a lot as a player in terms of understanding the game, because it's very different to the Belgian game and the international game.
"My English was very basic when I first arrived but now that I can speak it much better I can communicate well with the other players and staff.
"Over the next 12 months I want to make progress with my game and work hard to prove that I deserve a pro contract."
American midfielder Will Packwood has joined Blues' professional ranks
Meanwhile American U18 international Packwood was equally thrilled to be joining the club's professional ranks: "I'm absolutely delighted to get a contract," he said.
"Over the last two years I feel I've come on quite a bit and training at a high level every day really makes a difference.
"It's a huge step forward, but now there are even bigger steps forward to take.
"The first team squad is a lot smaller than it previously was and some players have left and there are a lot of games this season, so it's a big year for everybody at the club, but especially the young lads.
"Hopefully if the opportunity comes I can be the one to take it, but you've got to play well when you get the chance.
"Over the next 12 months the dream scenario is that I get into the first team because that's as good as it gets.
"But more realistically I've got to work hard and try and impress the new manager and get myself in his thoughts."
