Sales Phases

Current sales phase: “Last-Minute Sales”, sale of single tickets

The fifth and last sales phase, in which single tickets for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011™ are sold, starts on 18 March 2011.

Tickets are allocated in the order in which orders were received (that is, ‘first come, first served’) until the contingent is sold out.

The specified dates are provisional and may be changed at any time. The aim is to ensure fair and transparent allocation of the admission tickets even when demand exceeds the quantity of tickets available, and to provide as many fans as possible with tickets. Hence, the tickets are allocated, depending on sales phase, either in the order in which orders were received (that is, ‘first come, first served’) or through a random lottery draw.

Below is an overview with details of the five sales phases:

First sales phase: 29.10.2009 originally until 31.01.2010, but extended until 31 August 2010 due to the huge demand, sale of Venue Specific Tickets (VST)

A Venue Specific Ticket basically comprises of all matches at a venue. The only exception is Frankfurt: For Frankfurt, a VST with three matches (without final) and a VST with four matches (including the final) are offered. For Venue Specific Tickets, the best seats are reserved in the respective category for sale to the public.

Reduced price tickets are available in all categories for children and young persons aged 16 or under. Venue Specific Tickets are an attractive offer for fans and families who live within the region of a stadium; all matches in a city can be seen from as little as €40 (category 4, Bochum or Sinsheim VST, children and young persons).

The first sales phase is divided into two sections. All applications that are received between 29 October 2009 and 6 December 2009 will be allocated in the time period 7 to 10 December 2009. If demand exceeds the available tickets on offer, tickets will be allocated on the basis of a random lottery draw. If tickets are still available after 6 December 2009, then they will be allocated from 11 December 2009 in the order that orders were received (that is, ‘first come, first served’).

Second sales phase: 17.02.2010 to 31.08.2010, sale of group tickets to clubs

A quota of category 4 tickets is available exclusively to all amateur football clubs in Germany and therefore to grassroots football in the host country. These tickets will be offered as ‘20Eleven ticket’ in the second sales phase. A twenty percent discount is granted for groups of 11 or more. The single ticket prices therefore range from €8 (group match, children / young people aged 16 or under) to €44 (the final, standard price). All amateur football clubs in Germany will receive advance notification of this special offer. Group tickets for clubs are allocated in the order in which orders were received (that is, ‘first come, first served’).

Third sales phase: 15.09.2010 to 31.12.2010, sale of single tickets

In the third sales phase, single tickets for all FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011™ matches (including the opening match in Berlin and the final in Frankfurt) will be offered for the first time. Within the scope of overall availability, there are also reduced price single tickets for children and young persons, in all categories. The prices for single tickets therefore range from €10 (category 4, group match, children / young persons aged 16 or under) to €200 (category 1, the final, standard price).

In this sales phase, tickets are allocated in the order in which orders were received (that is, ‘first come, first served’).

Fourth sales phase: 20.01.2011 to 20.02.2011

The fourth sales phase is likely to be the last sales phase in which tickets for all matches will be offered. If ordering in this phase, you can specify alternative pairings for your preferred matches. For these matches, which are expected to be highly sought after, the priority is therefore specified by the applicant. At the same time, persons who use this special service have a far better chance of attending the world’s largest sport event in 2011. The fourth sales phase is a registration phase with subsequent allocation of tickets on the basis of a random lottery draw.

Fifth sales phase - “Last-Minute-Sales”: 18.03.2011 to 17.07.2011, sale of single tickets

Any tickets that remain unallocated after the fourth sales phase will be offered in the fifth sales phase on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Orders are processed in the order in which they are received.
