Why It Made Our Top 100 List
Everything that GoldenEye made great, Perfect Dark did too, and then some. Widely considered to be the best First-Person Shooter on the N64, and for some on any system, Perfect Dark introduced the world to Joanna Dark, the sexy female mercenary.

Dark used a lot of the features that GoldenEye did, like stealth and changing objectives, but the game was a lot larger and offered more. The amount of weapons was huge for an FPS, including alien weapons, and dual-wielding guns. The multiplayer mode was also similar to GoldenEye, but offered more modes, more maps, and a complex bot system that could be used to create a variety of game modes. Multiplayer mode also allowed saved profiles that were ranked on performance, so players could officially know who was better at popping a cap.

Of course, Perfect Dark also had a lot more blood than its predecessor GoldenEye, and that was pretty bad-ass back in the day.
Fun Facts
Nintendo Channel Editor-in-Chief Matt Casamassina is featured as a character model in Perfect Dark. To this day, editors still load up the game to relieve stress by shooting Matt in the face.

To promote the game, Nintendo hired model Michele Merkin to portray a real life Joanna Dark at various publicity events.
