Martin Osuna-Aguilar, 23

Martin Osuna-Aguilar, a 23-year-old Latino, was shot and killed by police on Monday, June 27, in the 8900 block of Atlantic Avenue in South Gate, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
A confrontation between South Gate police and Osuna-Aguilar occurred at 2:04 a.m. at a motel parking lot. During the conflict, shots were fired, said Sgt. Michael Thomas of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Osuna-Aguilar died at the scene, Thomas said.
The identity of the South Gate officer who shot the fatal round was not released.
Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators will investigate and turn the results over to South Gate police and the L.A. County district attorney's office.

What's the point of the investigation if the responsible cop/s is not going to be held accountable? Syscom3, a lot of your tax money goes to these type of investigations that don't go anywhere.
