Secret recording of Rebekah Brooks addressing NoW staff

A secret recording has emerged of a meeting that Rebekah Brooks held with News of the World staff at the paper's headquarters in Wapping on Friday

In it said that she was "determined to get vindication" for the newspaper. Her comments came a day after it was announced that the Sunday tabloid would close in the wake of allegations of phone hacking and corruption.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Mrs Brooks, head of the NoW's parent firm News International, is no longer heading the firm's own inquiry into the scandal.
