Recreation & Parks


The Recreation & Parks Department offers a year-round program of recreational and leisure-time activities for all age groups and interest levels. These programs include a variety of classes, athletic leagues, special events, and trips. We sponsor special events throughout the year including the annual Memorial Day Parade & Festival, July 4 Fireworks, the Fall Festival, Holiday Craft Show and numerous other speical events. The Recreation & Parks Department is also responsible for managing and maintaining neighborhood parks and the Cherry Hill Farmhouse and Barn.

The Falls Church Community Center is the main location for the Recreation & Parks Department. The Community Center hosts the majority of our classes and programs. The Community Center is also the location of our staff offices.

Concerts in the Park
Thursdays, June 23 through August 4 at 7 p.m. in Cherry Hill Park

July 4th Celebration and Fireworks
Monday, July 4, music at 7 p.m., fireworks at 9:20 p.m. at George Mason High School

Ages 5-6 years

This 75 minute course will lay the foundation for
an interest in robotics, teaching children that robotics can be fun and rewarding. Robotics 1 engages children to discover what ideas can be developed. All campers will build their own motor in class to take home.
