Arizona group calls for MD informed consent legislation
In the past, critics of chiropractic have pushed for laws that would force DCs to “reveal” the supposed dangers of chiropractic care, including strokes, to patients. In May, the Arizona Chiropractic Society (ACS) turned the tables and proposed informed consent legislation that would require medical doctors to give more complete and accurate information to cardiac patients before performing procedures such as angioplasty and bypass surgery.
