Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms is about two young women whose lives are forever changed as a result of the atom bomb. It's ten years after the bomb, but she's haunted by what she's lost and what she thinks she can never have: true love and happiness.
The second set of stories focuses on Nanami, Minami's niece. Nanami doesn't have to deal with Minami's daily hardships, but the lingering effects of the war also ripple across her happy-go-lucky life.
