DIRGANTARA delivers CN-235 VIP Aircraft to Pakistan Air Force
Dirgantara has successfully finished the order of Pakistan Air Force, consisting of 4 units of CN-235 aircraft in spite of the monetary crisis that caused the delay. The last unit , an VIP version, is delivered to General Director of Pakistan Air Force, Syed Haidir Javed, by Dirgantara President, Edwin Soedarmo, on 6 June 2005, in Bandung, West Java.
Due to the delay, Dirgantara has got a penalty of 1 % of the aircraft’s cost per month. Notifying the problem Dirgantara is facing, Pakistan Government planned to reduce the penalty by turning it into spare parts supply, maintenance packet, training packet, etc.
The VIP aircraft is a presidential version with special facilities, such as a set of four face-to-face seats that can function as a discussion room furnished with telecommunication equipment. It is also equipped with 22 passenger seats. The aircraft is planned to be used as the transportation of PAF Commander in Chief.
On the event, Pakistan Ambassador, Syed Mustafa Anwar Hussein, expresses his satisfaction upon the previous military version of CN-235 aircraft that was delivered a few months ago. He also expected that the Dirgantara-PAF cooperation continues.
