Renewable Energy Projections as Published in the National Renewable Energy Action Plans of the European Member States
Update: all 27 European Union Member States have been covered in the version of 1 February 2011.
All 27 Member States have submitted a National Renewable Energy Plan (NREAP) as requested by Article 4 of the Renewable Energy Directive (2009/28/EC).
ECN has collected all data from the NREAP documents. This has resulted in four products, available here for download:
- A data report Renewable Energy Projections as Published in the National Renewable Energy Action Plans of the European Member States (244 pages, 2.0 MB) which integrates and aggregates where possible data from the individual countries, presents tables in various cross-sections and presents the data graphically. Moreover derived indicators (average annual growth, full load hours, per capita and per area indicators) are presented.
- A summary document of the above report, mainly containing the data tables (93 pages, 1.0 MB).
- A database: all data from the published NREAP documents (26 Member States) are available in a database: download CSV file (2.1 MB) (choose option 'Save Link/Target As...' in your browser).
- A set of figures: all figures from the data report are available as separate image files: download high quality PDF files in ZIP file (0.6 MB) or download raster graphics image PNG files in ZIP file (5.0 MB).
The current update of the report and the database covers 27 countries. The countries considered are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia and the United Kingdom.

The publications currently available belong to the fourth version of the documents. Changes compared to the earlier version have been documented in the data report (Section 1.7).
