    • 3i’s existing Debt Warehouse facility
  • 3i Debt Management, a subsidiary of 3i Group plc signed an agreement to acquire Mizuho Investment Management (UK) (“MIM”) in September 2010. The transaction completed on 15th February 2011.  We have merged this business with our existing Debt Management activity in order to create 3i Debt Management
  • 3i Debt Management has an experienced team of over 30 professionals with a solid track record 
    • Mizuho Investment Management (MIM was established by Mizuho Corporate Bank in 2005, and
    • 3i Debt Warehouse was established in October 2007 to focus lending on sub-investment grade space in non 3i investments

  • Asset Procurement – strong primary market syndication relationships / well established private equity sponsor relationships
  • Deal Screening – initial meeting / high level of rejection but high level of delivery on transactions pursued
  • In depth Credit Analysis – 2/3 weeks of intensive due diligence
  • Credit approval – detailed credit application / investment committee
  • Ongoing Portfolio Monitoring – track deal performance / trade opportunities

Our current activity is focussed on Europe, where 3i enjoys established relationships.  Moving forwards we are looking to expand our activity to other geographies and to launch new funds.
