Sky1 HD is to become available on Virgin Media on Friday 1 October.
The channel will be available as part of the XL package and is the first Sky basics HD channel to launch on the cable platform.
Sky1 HD will be available in EPG slot 122 with Sky2 moving to 123. Sky3 has already been moved down the EPG, to 180, in readyness for the launch of Sky1 HD.

The launch of Sky 1 HD and our recent 3D on Demand launch demonstrates our commitment to making our TV service the best option for anyone looking to make the most of their home entertainment experience.”
Sky Arts HD is also due to launch on Virgin Media although no launch date for this has been given as yet and the Virgin Media press release indicated that "with further channels such as BBC 1 HD also due to launch later this year."
