Yes, he does pretty badly there - he was often all over the place live though, even in the original key.

Some songs don`t transpose as well as others.
It`s understandable that they dropped the key of the song to make it easier on old Ged`s voice. It`s still pretty impressive what he`s capable of live, in fact I think his voice has improved again over how it was on previous tours.
Unless you`ve tried it yourself it`s difficult to understand just how much energy it takes singing in a register that is no longer natural so doing any of the older songs is going to be uncomfortable, consequently a long tour requires good physical fitness.
