I recieved a mail, today, concerning my article Herrmann the German. I have to admit: I wonder, too!
I wonder why the Cologne Jewish community has appointed Jürgen Roters as patron of its Israel Day. Over the years the Cologne authorities have done nothing significant against the hate-wall. Only after the Israeli media had started to report about the hate-wall in Cologne, the resolution mentioned in the article Herrmann the German was passed immediately before Roters was paying a visit to Tel Aviv. After that resolution nothing more has happened in this affair. So I do not understand why Jürgen Roters recieves the honor to be patron of the Israel Day. Basically the appointment of Roters means to support his hate-wall policy.
