The new Linkin Park game is on the way. I just got a new test-build of the game, and it’s looking great. As you would expect, my bandmates and I worked hand-in-hand with the design team to create the look and content of the game. For fans of my art: you’ll see some new and familiar characters come to life in this 8-bit-meets-hi-res virtual world.
In the game, you have been chosen by the rebellion to solve a mystery. Items have been stolen from the six leaders of the rebellion. Collecting these items is the rebellion’s only hope to thwarting the plans of the evil PixxelKorp.
I can’t give away too many details about the game just yet…but I can tell you this: for all the Linkin Park fans excited to hear new music, I have some big news for you: if you finish this game, you get more than just a credit screen.
You get a brand new Linkin Park song.
The game will be available on the iPhone and iPod touch soon. More to come…

Good theme ! If a game is done by what that company on creation of games that it will be ” Game ” but it will not be a hardcore because an idea and professionalism will not be able to create the ” bouleversant ” world enough, although I am games and did not see, but does not doubt that the world of game will be colourful ( it from point of amateurs 8 bats and creation of Mike ) If that with text not that, it not to me ( I use on-line by a translator )

Love the art work (both for the game and all the rest you do). @shadowerliltani yes a comic book of LP (maybe following the game story) would be awesome. I wanted to do a Street Fighter II style game using LP and other bands (w/ LP as the inspiration) for the PSP back when I first started game programming… never came to be, b/c I’m no Picasso.
Anyhow, looks awesome. Wish I could see an Android version (not an iPhone person). Cheers and can’t wait for your new stuff.

Um… Once people get their hands on that new song, it’s going to be all over youtube… And 500 million fake versions of it. This should be interesting. Is it possible that maybe, just maybe, this could come out with a home computer version, or something that could be on a console if it’s that involved? Cause people like me, who thoroughly HATE all things iPod and iPod Touch, would like to be able to test out this game at some point in the future, when ya’ll are done scoring big bucks for Apple XD I’m still waiting to see if ya’ll will get your own comic book sometime soon. Even the Backstreet Boys and Obama have their own comic books.

Mike, I have some questions for you. The song that fans will gain by purchasing the game, will be in the new LP album? I have the Samsung Star Digital TV, you know if the game is only compatible with the Iphone or this type of phone as well? It will be available outside the USA? I’m from Brazil.

The only thing that doesn’t sound awesome is the fact that it’s only for iPod Touch/iPhone. What about the LP fans who don’t want/can’t get an iPod Touch/iPhone? Will there be other formats for other systems (computers, cellphones etc)?
And I agree with WolfRaptor. The fans who can’t get the song from the game will find a way to get their hands on it.

First I was excited but then I remembered how international fans are usually handeled so the game will probably just release in the US itunes store and I as I just have acess to the German and British store am left out in the cold….
