Sheffield Wednesday have signed defender Julian Bennett on a two-year deal.
The 26-year-old full back was out of contract at Nottingham Forest and becomes the Owls' third summer signing alongside Rob Jones and David Prutton.
Bennett joined the Forest academy as a 14-year old, before crossing the Midlands to sign for Walsall, where he made 56 appearances for the Saddlers.
In January 2006, the defender returned to the City Ground, under then Forest boss Gary Megson, and went on to make 106 appearances for the Reds.
Bennett played a vital role in helping Forest to promotion from League 1 in 2007-08, scooping the club's Player of the Year award along the way.
He said: "It's fantastic to be here and I am looking forward to the challenge.
"When a club like Sheffield Wednesday shows interest in you, it doesn't take too much thinking about.
"I'm a hard working player who gives 100 per cent every game and I'm ready to get stuck into my football at Sheffield Wednesday."
