Louisiana: Coast Guard Investigates Origin of Oil Slick in Gulf of Mexico, AP, June 8, 2011:
The Plaquemines Parish president, Billy Nungesser, says oil has been spotted in the waters off the coast near Venice and that he believes the seven-mile slick is from last year’s BP spill [and] there have been no recent reports to the Coast Guard of spilled oil in the area. [...]

Anyone heard anything more on this?
Why do I have this insidious feeling that if it wasn’t capped, it’s still flowing, and if it was, it blew? They need to put those ROVs back in place to examine the damn wellhead like, yesterday.
Chelsea
They very may well have rovers down there but it is just not being televised to the world, I think they kept a few there the whole time ! They still have at least 4 rigs out there from accounts I have read and No fly was expanded !
My apology if this has been posted on this site before:

June 13, 2011 – KOLKATA, India – The city is in the grip of a viral fever that has affected thousands, including many in Ballygunge, Alipore and parts of central Kolkata. It has been leading to high fever accompanied by a severe lung and chest infection, often causing severe respiratory problems. Experts have been taken by surprise by the late outbreak of this viral epidemic which usually occurs during change of seasons. The new virus is far more potent and different from the ones that have struck in previous years, said doctors. “This one has been attacking the respiratory system which makes it more…

Nice cover for the BP dead zone.
The “experts” can’t tell oil on an oil covered fish..but they can predict a dead zone…..

Many Animal/fish/crustacean that died before the floods are on records and the frozen dolphin’s and other that the Gov. has can bear truth to pre dead zone deaths !

Been away and it hurts to see what I have come back to. The Gulf is a disaster. Before I left for three days my garden was doing fine, but slow to produce. Now, my little garden is a shock to see. I had three or four tomatoes and no new ones. Plenty of blooms, but no new tomatoes. I have lots of flowers on my cukes, but one cuke and it was a bastard shape. Spoke to my good friend in southern Alabama and she said that her dad, who has grown tomatoes for years with excellent results, does not have a single tomatoes on his vines. My pole beans have flowers, but not beans. My squash has lots of beautiful yellow flowers, but not a single tiny squash. The flowers area not falling off, but dying in place; drying up on the plant.
Peace out!

Your garden … Do you see any Bee’s that do the work of cross polination ??
The bad air may have something to do with this ? More studies required but er know there are reduced numbers of bee’s worldwide and even more in U.S. and elsewhere this spring !

You may try using a Q-tip and touching each flower pistol transferring pollen yourself and see if they will develop !
If it is chemicals the receptors of the plants may be flawed in growth of regeneration !
Drought and intense heat may have contributed to the struggling gardens. How about your health. Any respiratory issues or rash?
Unbelievable. Any update since this was posted?
I returned to Bay County last weekend for two days, but stayed off the beaches. For two weeks, I have had a throat irritation, like a mucus clot that keeps recurring which I throw out only to have another one replace it. Could be the radiation in the air. I did notice that several of my friends have a similar throat or respiratory thingy that lingers. Couldn’t believe the traffic heading to the beaches for the weekend! They’ll eat fresh Gulf Seafood. The oyster bars were packed, too! Idiots!
Peace out!

Look for Corexit in the Military after 1989
Were you in the military since July, 1989?
The military bought Corexit 9527? Corexit 9527 has 38% 2-butoxyethanol and some ethylene oxide (causes pulmonary edema) … lungs fill up with fluid. perpetual GWS? beginning of GWS?
Sold to the Dept of Defense

I live further inland in PC and I have that throat thingy. Have had it for several months. Some days it is real bad, some days not too much, and a few great days when it goes away. Just figured it is some kind of allergy.
I’m not sick, but just very aggravating. I don’t go to the beach anymore.
GOM news has gotten pretty slim lately. All I hear right now is the fishing is great, seafood is delicious, restaurants doing good.
No oil, no corexit, no worry.
I wonder if this is the calm before the storm or….. if everybody has already forgotten and out of mind.

Not at all.
Pulmonary edema (American English), or oedema (British English; both words from the Greek οἴδημα), is fluid accumulation in the lungs.[1] It leads to impaired gas exchange and may cause respiratory failure. It is due to either failure of the heart to remove fluid from the lung circulation (“cardiogenic pulmonary edema”) or a direct injury to the lung parenchyma (“noncardiogenic pulmonary edema”).[2] Treatment depends on the cause, but focuses on maximizing respiratory function and removing the cause.
Signs and symptomsSymptoms of pulmonary edema include difficulty breathing, coughing up blood, excessive sweating, anxiety, and pale skin. A classic sign of pulmonary edema is the production of pink frothy sputum. If left untreated, it can lead to coma and even death, in general, due to its main complication of hypoxia. If pulmonary edema has been developing gradually, symptoms of fluid overload may be elicited. These include nocturia (frequent urination at night), ankle edema (swelling of the legs, in general, of the “pitting” variety, wherein the skin is slow to return to normal when pressed upon), orthopnea (inability to lie down flat due to breathlessness), and paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea (episodes of severe sudden breathlessness at night).
Diagnosis
In general, pulmonary edema is suspected due to findings in the medical history, such as previous cardiovascular disease, and physical examination: End-inspiratory crackles (sounds heard at the end of a deep breath) on auscultation are characteristic for pulmonary edema. The presence of a third heart sound (S3) is predictive of cardiogenic pulmonary edema.[2]

‘Shrimpers rally on steps of State Capitol’
Republican state Sen. Norby Chabert, of Houma, addressed shrimpers who had gathered on the State Capitol steps Wednesday. Chabert said that government inspectors were more worried about turtles than about people. Shrimpers say they have been unfairly blamed for the increased number of dead turtles, dolphins and other sealife washing ashore. The Louisiana Shrimp Association, which organized the rally to draw attention to the low prices, says the low prices for this season’s shrimp catch has been caused by the poor perception of Louisiana seafood that the rest of the nation has after the BP oil spill. Shrimpers want BP to pay the difference in price along with loses they suffered from fishery closures last year.</
