| 6. In 1982, after a silence of 15 years, the Hemony carillon could sing again. After the thorough renovation, the carillon now is one of the finest in the world. Thanks to the new arrangement and the retuning to the historic timbre, the 54 chiming bells now sound warmer and more harmonic than ever. | |

All year long the city life is brightened twice a week by heavenly carillon music. Every Friday and Sunday at noon the city carillonneur plays a concert to both the strolling tourists as well as the hasty pedestrian.
