2011 Adams County Cultural Council Retreat

09/07/2011 - The Adams County Cultural Council will hold its annual retreat and meeting from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Sept. 24, 2011, at The Ranch Country Club, 11887 N. Tejon Street in Westminster. A representative from the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) will be present, as well as the Adams County Cultural Council liaison. Representatives from council-funded organizations are welcome to attend the meeting. The council will review the past year's events and discuss any changes for the 2012-2013 grant cycle. Adams County Commissioners to Refer Ballot Question to Voters

State Law Mandates Referral of this Measure to the 2012 General Election

08/31/2011 - The Adams County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution in public hearing today, directing county staff to prepare a ballot question asking voters whether or not to increase the Board of County Commissioners from three to five members. This resolution represents a commitment the board made as part of the strategic reform package adopted on May 25, 2011.

Allegations of Major Fraud Lead to $8.6 Million Federal Lawsuit

08/25/2011 - In an unprecedented move, seven people and two companies are being accused of stealing $8.6 million from Adams County though an elaborate scheme involving more than 50 documented cases of alleged fraud, according to a lawsuit filed in Federal Court today by the Adams County Board of Commissioners.
