High Power Acoustic Technology

The Technology

Since 1992 SARA has developed and tested high power acoustic devices of all shapes and sizes ranging from sources the size of a pencil to the size of a compact car. The acoustic devices have been powered by bottled air, compressors, hydrogen peroxide steam generators, fuel/air combustion, car engines with blowers, and other sources.

Benefiting from this research have been programs for: Less-lethal weapons, facility protection, access delay, area denial, unambiguous warning, and sonic flocculation applications.
