About the book

Following on the heels of The Neddiad, The Yggyssey, and Adventures of a Cat-Whiskered Girl, Bushman Lives tells the tale of Harold Knishke, an ordinary Chicago kid with a special place in his heart for Bushman, the famed departed gorilla of the Lincoln Park Zoo. Harold runs into any number of Chicago personalities, some new and some familiar, in his quest to become a Great Artist and figure out how he became the object of a famous folk song.

My expectations have been honed to maximum sensitivity. Being born in Chicago, I love the stories of that magnificant city. Alas, I was adopted at three months of age and live vicariously on the tales of others.
I wait by the e-mail box with baited breath.
