This year, the Veterans Commemoration Association has planned for an exciting Veteran's Day. Not only do they produce the "biggest Veterans Day parade west of the Mississippi," but there are many events leading up to it. While the events started on November 1st, here is the schedule, starting November 10th. 

• Wed, November 10 – USMC Cake Cutting Ceremony
• Wed, November 10 – VCA Veteran of the Year Awards Banquet, 6pm, at Albany Eagles
• Thurs, November 11 – Community Breakfasts: West Albany High School, American Legion
  Post 51, and Albany Eagles
• Thurs, November 11 – Memorial Service, Timber Linn Park, 8am
• Thurs, November 11 – Dignitaries Continental Breakfast, Albany VFW, 9am
• Thurs, November 11 – 59th Annual Veterans Day Parade, 11am, Downtown Albany
• Thurs, November 11 – Awards Ceremony, Linn County Courthouse, following parade
• Thurs, November 11 – Lunch, VFW Post 584, at Albany Eagles
• Thurs, November 11 – Freedom Fest, at Albany Eagles

Feel free to stop by the Albany Visitors Association, at the Two Rivers Market in downtown Albany, for a Veteran's Day Parade program. On Veteran's Day, we'll be open from 9am-11am and 2pm-3pm. (From 11am-2pm, we'll be right outside, watching the parade.) See you there!
