Poker history made online at FTOPS

Poker history made online at FTOPS Yuval Bronshtein did what no other poker player has been able to do when he won two consecutive tournaments in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series, which were completed in less than 12 hours.

Bronshtein took down Event #14, a $500 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. tournament, as well as Event #15, a $200 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Turbo tournament. In total he managed to secure $172,387 in winnings in the two tournaments.

“I don’t think it’s something that anyone will duplicate ever again,” Bronshtein said. “That’s what I want more than anything else; to do things that no one has ever done before. That’s why pulling this off meant so much to me.”

In the FTOPS No Limit Turbo Hold’em event, Bronshtein outlasted a massive field of 3,472 players to claim a victory worth $101,975. He then turned around and defeated a field of 654 players in the H.O.R.S.E. tournament to take home an extra $70,412.50.

Although Bronshtein, who plays online under the screen name “yuvee04,” has seen the bulk of his success come from online poker, he has also had significant success in live poker tournaments. One of his most notable mentions was a recent cash for $109,018 after dropping in third in the $2,000 buy-in Pot Limit Hold’em event at the World Series of Poker in 2007.

“I want to continue to improve to the point where I can win as many bracelets as possible,” Bronshtein said. “Like I said, the money is nice and I’d love to win a couple WPT events. But winning bracelets is why I’m playing poker. You can’t buy a bracelet. You’ve got to go out and earn it. That’s what I want to do.”

The 24-year old poker player plans to play in this year World Series of Poker Europe in September, travel to Austria and Amsterdam for more poker tournaments, and then move to Las Vegas to play poker full time.
