A minor islet of the northern Izu-shotō, Udone-jima (須美寿島) is located midway between the islands of To-shima and Nii-jima. Its larger neighbours lie 4 km to the north and south, respectively.
The 0.4 km² island has the appearance of an emergent ridge, measuring 1.3 km in length and around 0.5 km in width. From its central spine, reaching 210 m above sea level, Udone-jima slopes steeply on both sides to the sea.
