Economic Development
Similar to more traditional ministry disciplines like health and education, economic development is a valuable tool available to the church.
Communicating the Gospel in terms that people can understand, and ultimately respond to, is enhanced when a person not only hears the Word but sees the integration of our words and our deeds. Economic development projects provide a context in which the Kingdom message can be presented in a Holistic manner.
From developing self-sustaining service businesses (bookstores, clinics, schools) to micro credit programs designed to help individuals finance businesses ideas, to creating new businesses for target populations in need of employment, Economic Development activity can take on many different forms.
Latin America Mission is committed to working with and through local church leadership to develop micro credit programs and other enterprises. If you have experience in this area (or interest in knowing more), we would love to help you find the right ministry fit— connecting your gifts and calling with the needs of the Latin Church.
