H.R. 45: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009

111^th Congress: 2009-2010

To provide for the implementation of a system of licensing for purchasers of certain firearms and for a record of sale system for those firearms, and for other purposes.

We ran an experiment to see if the GovTrack community could collaboratively write a letter to Congress against this bill. See the group letter we delivered in May 2009.

Sponsor: Rep. Bobby Rush [D-IL1]

This bill never became law. This bill was proposed in a previous session of Congress.
