My Reflections
1.
I've learned to not to judge people from their first impression.
2.
NEVER forget deoderant. Ever.
3.
Smiling can get one out of any situation.
4.
Be grateful for today, because tomorrow may not be as forgiving.
5.
Even if acting "fake" gets you far, it won't last.
6.
Music and peanut butter can solve any problem.
7.
Mirrors and cameras can be the enemy.
8.
If you see yourself through other people's eyes, you're not seeing yourself for who you really are.
9.
TAKE RISKS!
10.
High school isn't forgiving, but don't let that stop you from happiness.
11.
Boys make better pets then boyfriends.
12.
Don't act like a bully to anyone, because you never know who might end up being president...
13.
Have a specific "me-time" set out so you always have something to look forward to.
14.
It's not bad to be busy.
15.
Volunteering is the way to go! You never know what you could learn from it.
16.
What good is a grudge if all you can do is hold it?
17.
The past will never change, no matter how much you want it to.
My Goals
1.
Be happy in general: with myself, with others, and my outlook on life.
2.
SMILE MORE! Darn braces...
3.
Take more risks, have no regrets.
4.
Have an attitude everyone else admires.
5.
Think of myself as beautiful no matter what.
6.
To reject no one.
7.
To forget my past experiences.
8.
Forgive others. This one might take some time... stupid high school with its stupid drama.
9.
To get a job!
10.
Making Choraliers... ahhh... *sigh*
11.
Never EVER stop believing in yourself. Cliche-ish, but totally true!
12.
I hope to be a better student. I actually had a teacher tell me I "sucked." Of course, he was kidding and I wasn't offended, but still. I just can't get motivated to study, pay attention, or do my homework!
13.
To get a big part in the fall play!
14.
I want to be seen as a funny, kind and approachable person.
15.
To make it through a scary movie without closing my eyes at the gory parts.
16.
To not go on Facebook for one week. This will be difficult if not impossible.
I'm Grateful For
1.
My CLOSE friends have always been amazing to me. They're funny, smart and incredibly good looking. =) I LOVE THEM ALL!
2.
Family. My sister always keeps me happy and I'm never bored. I can't imagine life without her. My parents are so supportive of me and I always have someone willing to listen. My cousins and I are so close. They're hilarious and always make my days better. My aunts and uncles are the best anyone could ever have. Again, I'm really close with them also. My grandparents are so loving. I'm really dreading the day they won't be here anymore, because I love them so much.
3.
My cat and my dog. I love cuddling with them!
4.
My favorite foods: Peanut butter, Milk Chocolate, Peppermint Bark, Scooby Doo gummies, Moose tracks ice cream, Honey ham, Jamba Juice, Steak, Sour Patch, and Reeses. (So many more...)
5.
Movies, music and cameras.
6.
School. Sometimes.
7.
My health and my life.
8.
THE CHANCE TO ACT!
9.
Susan Gorman, Kevin Quigley, Adam Busch and Cristina Wells -- they all believed it me. Sappy, but true.
10.
Windsurfing... feeling that breeze in my hair and knowing that I can't control the wind, so I really have to focus/concentrate!
11.
The opportunity to go to camp. I wish everyone could, because it is such a life changing experience.
12.
The soldiers, who sacrifice themselves for people they might never get to know.
13.
My ability to kayak! I recently tried a piccolo and LOVED IT! Too bad I tipped, though. The one day Lake Michigan has waves...
14.
Being an American. Our country and leaders might SEEM like they suck at some points, but look over seas! So many people don't have the rights and liberties we have. We take advantage of them.
I Commit To...
1.
Church
2.
School
3.
The theater department at my high school
4.
Family/Friends/Pets (walking, litter box)
5.
Babysitting... (ick ew gross yuck).
6.
Ugly Betty, House and The Bachelor. All for different reasons.
Words and Phrases I've Heard
1.
Beautiful, gorgeous, exotic... don't get me started. No one looks like that without airbrushing and surgeries, so why try to look like it?
2.
Perfect. I've always been trying to figure out what it means and how to be it, and I still am. I know it's not healthy, but just imagine how wonderful life would be if one were perfect in every way.
3.
Outgoing/Charismatic. Aren't they the same thing? Guess not.
Classes I'm Taking
1.
Physics. HELP ME!
2.
Chorus. One of the best classes anyone can take... one hour of pure singing bliss. *Sigh*
3.
LUNCH LUNCH LUNCH! Yay for lunch and the wonderful cafeteria food... some people would think I'm crazy, but our "Cafe" (I swear it's called that!) is stocked so much that people call it Walgreens!
4.
Western World. Basically it's western European history and english all wrapped into one... they made it sound nice on the handout when we registered for classes, but I can't stay awake! Any tips for how to concentrate in class?
5.
Frosh Gym. Aka H-E-double hockey stick. At least we finished our gymnastics unit. That was a joke, considering I ended up getting a concussion.
6.
THEATER! I <3 that class. Like chorus, it's an hour of heaven where I can just be me.
7.
Geometry. *Shudder* Can anyone give me any tips?
