Kitty Brucknell has reacted angry to Amelia Lily's return to The X Factor claiming it was unfair for the 16-year-old to get a second chance while the other contestants had worked hard for six weeks.
According to the UK's Daily Mirror, Kitty made an appearance on talk show 'This Morning' on Monday (14th November 2011) after being eliminated from the reality singing contest on Sunday. The former Britney Spears tribute act became an unpopular contestant on the show, despite her seemingly effortless vocal ability and series of strong performances. Amelia Lily was handed a lifeline to the return to the show this weekend after the departure of Frankie Cocozza - the Middlesbrough-born singer was first eliminated during week one. Asked by host Phillip Schofield whether she thought the decision to reinstate former contestants was fair, Kitty said, "We worked hard on the show for six weeks. and they were just let back in.But I guess you have to roll with it. That's the music industry - you have to dodge boulders and keep on going". After a solid comeback performance on Saturday, Amelia is now the bookmakers favourite to win the competition outright, despite the increasing popularity of Liverpool singers Marcus Collins and Craig Colton.
Speaking about her future in the music industry, Brucknell claimed all she wants to do is "gigs, gigs, gig, saying she's looking forward to being part of the X Factor live tour, saying, "I always said 'I need to be on that tour' and now that I am, I can't wait".
