Realview Manufacturing
Realview Manufacturing operates at Kingsland, Boyle, under the stewardship of executive director Eamonn Ansbro and John Braithwaite, both experienced in manufacture, export and business and both gifted optical engineers and entrepreneurs.
With an already strong management team in place, Realview further beefed up its management structure earlier this year with the appointment of two powerhouses to its executive team, namely CEO Seya Mahvi who has a successful track record developing companies to self-sustaining profitability and has successfully negotiated numerous launches on the NY Stock Exchange. Also on board is another globally recognised expert, Bob Pritchard, who is leading Realview’s marketing activities and adds experience with placement on European stock exchanges.
Realview has wowed critics and audiences with its technology, so much so that it was recently announced winner of the InterTrade Innovation Challenge. It was also a finalist at this year’s Irish Times Innovation Awards and it won “Best in Show”, at Retail Vision Europe 2010. It was also selected by the Washington Post as “Hot Gadgets at the Show” at the Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas.
Explaining what the company does, Catherine Overhauser, executive director said, “Realview has developed optical technology products that enhance depth, basically bridging the gap between 2D and 3D, without the need for glasses.
Our technology is suitable for screens of all sizes and works with existing normal content, for example sports, films, video games, regular TV programmes. The technology can be applied to TVs, mobile phones, arcade screens, to actually give a greater realism and more engagement. Colours feel more alive and the viewer enjoys a comfortable sense of immersion and it is safe for all ages. You don’t require any software and it therefore very affordable.”
Overhauser confirmed, “Patents have been granted for our technology all over the world. We have already developed ‘V-Screen’ for the Sony PSP videogame console, sold in EU, North America, South Africa, India and Asia. We have also developed a Deep Screen accessory for displays and TVs and improved screens for smart phones.”
In the pipeline, Realview is getting ready to launch a large TV accessory that according to Overhauser will “bring a spectacular viewing experience to any TV. We also plan to introduce technology that can be adapted for cinema projection, rear seat entertainment and mobile phones.”
Realview Manufacturing has successfully raised funds through BES, Enterprise Ireland and equity investors in Ireland and abroad in the past and is currently offering the opportunity for investors to become involved with this dynamic company through BES and equity investment.
Overhauser confirmed, “Realview has advanced plans in place for listing on international stock exchanges.”
