Helped launch Marketing Week and Creative Review magazines, wrote media columns for The Times, the Economist and the Independent, and presented LBC Radios media show.
Born in September 1950, Torin graduated from the University of Warwick in 1972.
Joined the BBC as media correspondent in 1989.
