Xyphus is the first role playing game ever published for the Mac (it even runs on a 128). In the lost continent of Arroya evil creatures have taken the power and you must lead a group of four adventurers to sweep out all these monsters but, what's more important, to get rid of their demon lord, Xyphus. In order to face him, you must retrieve his heart first.. Your band will have different characteristics according to the races you've chosen (human, dwarf or elf) and develop different abilities as they gain experience. The game lets you verify a character status at any time (for the enemies too) and display a detailed description of every creature you see on the screen. You'll have to manage spells (sometimes they're the only way to kill certain monsters) but you'll also find special objects during your journey... The game consists of 6 scenarios plus the last one where you'll face Xyphus. It's a good habit to save your games often (up to 5 are supported) since each scenario may require up to 10 hours to be completed...
