Monthly awards
Every month a panel made up of representatives from the Scottish sports media
will decide the winners of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager, Player &
Young Player of the Month awards, and we want your help.
We are looking for football fans to vote for the candidates they think have been
the best this month. The top three in each category will then be considered by
the monthly awards judging panel of Scottish football experts, in addition to
their own nominations.
Each person will only be able to vote once. To vote, you must be registered
with the site, and logged in, so that you can only vote once. So tell us what you think, and then check back here to see who our experts picked as this month’s winners..

Clydesdale Bank Manager of the Month for October
Motherwell Manager Stuart McCall has been named the Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager of the Month for October.
Stuart McCall guided his side to tough away wins against Dundee United, Hibernian and Inverness C.T. as well as a home draw against Kilmarnock throughout the month. His side were on sensational form as they recorded a 3-1 win over Dundee Utd which they followed up with a hard fought 1-0 win at Hibs before a 0-0 draw at home to Kilmarnock. McCall’s side then rounded off October with a thrilling 3-2 win against Inverness C.T. to take them three points clear of Celtic and into second place in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. It was McCall’s emphasis on attacking football whilst maintaining positive results particularly in three tough away trips that led the panel to pick him as their Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager of the Month.
Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month for October
Motherwell midfielder Keith Lasley has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month for October.
Lasley has been instrumental in his side’s good performances throughout the month as Motherwell racked up three consecutive away victories against Dundee United, Hibernian and Inverness C.T. and a home draw against Kilmarnock. Lasley opened the scoring in their 3-1 win over Dundee United and he also netted in Motherwell’s 3-2 win away to Inverness C.T. last weekend. Lasley has been a driving force in Motherwell’s midfield and his performances have helped his side move three points clear of Celtic to sit in second position in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. It was Lasley’s spirited and goalscoring performances that led the panel to vote him as their Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month.
Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month for October
St Mirren midfielder Kenny McLean has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month for October.
McLean has been in great form throughout the month helping his side to a late win away to St Johnstone and a hard fought draw at Rangers. The nineteen year old scored his first senior goal for St Mirren with a wonderful strike to give his side the three points in a 1-0 win against St Johnstone. McLean has also demonstrated an exciting and dynamic nature to his play this season which hasn’t gone unnoticed by scouts who are reportedly flooding to St Mirren Park each week to watch him in action. It was McLean’s ability to link the play and his all round consistent performances that led the panel to vote him as their Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month.
