Family Practice

Family Practice

Naturopathic Family Practice operates similar to many licensed medical professionals currently practicing family medicine. The difference remains in the treatment of common conditions seen in family practice. The patients can expect successful treatment through holistic traditional medicine – homeopathy, botanical medicine, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, and nutritional therapy. The goal is to restore health safely without side effects.

New patients must fill out all of the new patient documents and medical history forms (see New Patient forms). Once the forms have been completed, the physician or nursing assistant will escort the patient to the exam room. A patient interview and review of the medical history will be discussed, then a physical exam will be performed for the relevant symptomatic picture. Finally, labs or imaging may be requested at this time for further assistance of diagnosis.

Acute conditions may be addressed during this initial visit, and chronic conditions may require labs, imaging or other diagnostic reports that would be addressed on the follow up visit.

Once a diagnosis or working diagnosis has been established, treatment options will be presented. Traditional therapies may be suggested – botanical medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy, and nutritional therapy – as well as allopathic options – symptomatic treatment with pharmaceuticals, and the costs and benefits of each treatment will be discussed.

The goal of the physician will be to educate you, the patient, and lead you to the safest, most effective course of treatment.
