This event was rescheduled from October due to weather. Please note the time change—owing to lack of evening daylight, we're doing it at 1pm. Thanks!

Join AIGA DC and ArtAround for Paint and Slaps on Foot: A tour of DC's street and public art. It's a casual walk-about-town, where we'll discover the commissioned and uncommissioned art in some of our great DC neighborhoods!

Have you ever wondered about the public art in your neighborhood? Do you want to know more about that statue downtown or artists local to your area? Curious to know what's all this talk about slaps? Change your perspective and see things anew on a casual evening stroll through the neighborhoods of Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle and Farragut Square. Along the way, your friendly urban curators will point out art-of-interest and illuminate hidden design/arty gems you may have never noticed before!

We'll start at the corner of Connecticut Ave. and Calvert St. in front of the Chipotle. Look for folks wearing AIGA DC design week buttons and holding a color poster. At the end of the walk we'll reward ourselves by sitting a spell, and if you are so inclined, enjoying a refreshment at a local watering hole in Farragut Square.

This is a free event, though we do ask you register online so we can track our numbers... registration is now open.
