Businesses, law-abiding citizens and entrepeneurs are leaving california like they're running out of a burning building, and I don't blame them one bit. What a putrid cesspool california has become. I don't feel one bit sorry for californians who still support the squatters in our White House. I hope they get exactly what they deserve. California’s Not Dreamin’: This Is the Nightmare of an Obama Second Term

I live in California . If you were wondering what living in Obama’s second term would be like, wonder no longer. We in California are living there now.
California is a one-party state dominated by a virulent Democratic Left enabled by a complicit media where every agency of local, county, and state government is run by and for the public employee unions. The unemployment rate is 12%.
California has more folks on food stamps than any other state, has added so many benefits and higher rates to Medicaid that we call it “Medi-Cal.” Our K-12 schools have more administrators than teachers, and smaller classes but lower test scores and higher dropout rates with twice the per-student budget of 15 years ago. Good job, Brownie.
This week, the once and current Gov. Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown had to confess that the “balanced” state budget adopted five months ago was billions in the red because actual tax revenues were billions lower than the airy-fairy revenue estimates on which the balance was predicated.
After trimming legislators’ perks and reducing the number of cell phones provided to state civil servants, the governor intoned that drastic budget reductions had already hollowed out state programs for the needy, law enforcement and our choolchildren. California government needed more money.
Echoing the Occupy movement, the governor proclaimed the rich must pay their fair share. Fair share? The top 1% of California income earners currently pays 50% of the state’s income tax.
California has seven income tax brackets. The top income tax rate is 9.3%, which is slapped on the greedy rich earning at least $47,056 a year. Income of more than $1 million pays the “millionaires’ and billionaires’” surcharge tax rate of 10.3%.
Brown’s proposal would add 2% for income over $250,000. A million-dollar income would then be taxed at 12.3%. And that’s just for the state.
Brown also proposed a one-half-cent sales tax increase, which would bring sales taxes (which vary by county) to 7.75% to 10%. Both tax increases would be on the ballot in 2012.
The sales tax increase proposal immediately brought howls of protest from the Left (of Brown!). Charlie Eaton, a sociology grad student at UC Berkeley and leader of the UC Student-Workers Union, said, “We’ve paid enough. It’s time for millionaires to pay.”
At least five other ballot measures to raise taxes are circulating for signatures to get on the 2012 ballot in California . The governor’s proposals are the most conservative.
The Obama way doesn’t end with taxes.
The governor and the state legislature continue to applaud the efforts of the California High Speed Rail Authority to build a train connecting Los Angeles and San Francisco . Even though the budget is three times the voter-approved amount, and the first segment will only connect two small towns in the agricultural Central Valley . But hey, if we build it, they will ride.
And we don’t want to turn down the Obama bullet-train bucks Florida and other states rejected because the operating costs would bankrupt them. Can’t happen here—we’re already insolvent.
If we get into real trouble with the train, we’ll just bring in the Chinese. It worked with the Bay Bridge reconstruction. After the 1989 earthquake, the bridge connecting Oakland and San Francisco was rebuilt with steel made in China . Workers from China too. Paid for with money borrowed from China . Makes perfect sense.
In California , we hate the evil, greedy rich (except the rich in Hollywood and in sports, and in drug dealing). But we love people who have broken into California to eat the bounty created by the productive rich.
Illegals get benefits from various generous welfare programs, free medical care, free schools for their kids, including meals, and of course, instate tuition rates and scholarships too. Governor Perry , California has a heart. Nothing’s too good for our guests.
To erase even a hint of criticism of illegal immigration, the California Legislature is considering a unilateral state amnesty. Democrat State Assemblyman Felipe Fuentes has proposed an initiative that would bar deportation of illegals from California .
Interesting dilemma for Obama there. If immigration is exclusively a federal matter, and Obama has sued four states for trying to enforce federal immigration laws he won’t enforce, what will the President do to a California law that exempts California from federal immigration law?
California is also near fulfilling the environmentalist dream of deindustrialization.
After driving out the old industrial base (auto and airplane assembly, for example), air and water regulators and tax policies are now driving out the high-tech, biotech and even Internet-based companies that were supposed to be California’s future.
The California cap-and-trade tax on business in the name of reducing CO2 makes our state the leader in wacky environmentalism and guarantees a further job exodus from the state.
Even green energy companies can’t do business in California . Solyndra went under, taking its taxpayer loan guarantee with it.
No job is too small to escape the regulators. The state has even banned weekend amateur gold miners from the historic gold mining streams in the Sierra Nevada Mountains .
In fact, more and more of California ‘s public land is off-limits to recreation by the people who paid for that land. Unless you’re illegal. Then you can clear the land, set up marijuana plantations at will, bring in fertilizers that legal farmers can no longer use, exploit illegal farm workers who live in hovels with no running water or sanitation, and protect your investment with armed illegals carrying guns no California citizen is allowed to own.
The rest of us only found out about these plantations when the workers’ open campfire started one of those devastating fires that have killed hundreds of people and burned out thousands of homes in California over the last decade.
It was said after California ‘s Proposition 13 in 1978 cut property tax rates and was copied in other states, that whatever happened in California would soon happen in your state.
We’d better hope that’s wrong.

Muslim Children in America are Being Taught to Hate

In the last five years I have personally visited over 250 Islamic Centers, Mosques, and Islamic Schools throughout America. The goal of my research has been to determine what Islamic leaders are teaching the young and innocent Muslim children. The findings are abhorrent, sad, unbelievable, frightening, and most disturbing is the fact our government is keeping this dangerous fact from the American people. Muslim children attending mosques and Islamic schools are being taught to hate America, our government, our military personnel, and its non Muslim population. In this article I will identify three significant mosques in America that are leading the way in teaching Muslim children to hate and to influence them to commit violent acts inside our country.
In America we have been programmed by the media and political leaders to believe violent teachings of Islam are only being taught to children in Palestine. We have watched the Muslim Palestinian children spew their taught hatred of the Israelis. What Americans are not being shown (due to political correctness) are that Muslim children throughout the world and specifically inside America are being taught violence and hatred in mosques, Islamic schools and Islamic Centers.
Children as young as 7 years old are being taught that to assimilate with America is to disrespect and dishonor Islam. They are being taught our military personnel are the enemies of Islam and it is justifiable to kill anyone who dishonors or oppresses the Islamic ideology.
During my research I have identified numerous mosques that are teaching young Muslim children to hate America and are leading them to commit future violent acts against our country and innocent people. I would like to focus on three such mosques. They are:

1. Dar al Hijrah, Falls Church, VA
2. Al Farooq, Nashville, TN
3. At Taqwa, Brooklyn, NY
Anwar al-Awlaki was an imam at the Dar al Hijrah Mosque from January 2001 until 2002. Three of the 9/11 hijackers, Khalid al-Mihdhar, Nawaf al-Hazmi and Hani Hanjour, attended some of Awlaki’s sermons at this mosque.
My researchers and I spent several weeks at the Dar Al Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, VA. Almost immediately we were informed to obtain our study material from the Halaco Bookstore which is located nearby the mosque. It was very apparent upon entering the store and reviewing the materials that the bookstore provides materials for the Sunni (Wahhabi) Muslim population across the U.S. and specifically for Dar Al Hijrah. I was able to spend many hours talking with store personnel and was invited to the home of one employee to discuss Islamic issues. There is a large section in the store dedicated to the education of the Muslim children. I discovered materials that are being sent to Islamic schools across America. Much of the material deals with Sharia and Jihad. One of the DVD’s and books I obtained was by an Islamic scholar Ahmad Sakr. Sakr travels the U.S. visiting Islamic schools and educates them in Sharia law. I have watched one of his videos in which he tells the young children our government is evil and not to follow the laws of our country and Americas government leaders will all go to hell.
The material provided by Dar Al Hijrah and their selected Islamic bookstore also was filled with violent Jihad. There were manuals informing the readers how to destroy America and how to kill anyone who oppresses Islam. They are told how to obtain weapons to include weapons of mass destruction. Although all of the above is very disturbing and should (and actually is) against the law, the Muslim leaders of Falls Church, Val are allowed by our government to indoctrinate the Muslim children into future violence against our country. The next mosque (Al Farooq/Nashville, TN) is even more disturbing.
My research team and I spent two weeks at the Al Farooq mosque in Nashville, TN. The mosque was Sunni and had the typical violent books and DVD’s/videos pertaining to the overthrow of any government system that oppresses Islam. They also had numerous teachings from current Islamic leaders operating in America who are teaching the Muslim population to hate our country and its people. Although this should frighten all concerned citizens, there was even sadder and disturbing intelligence collected at this mosque. Lately we have all read about the child brides and forced marriages in Afghanistan and in Saudi Arabia. What most Americans do not realize is that child marriages are occurring throughout our country and specifically in Nashville, TN.
One young 7 year old Muslim girl at Al Farooq talked to our researcher about being beaten (MP3 file) by her Islamic leaders and being married (MP3 file) to a Muslim man. I reported the matter to the Nashville authorities but almost from the beginning they were reluctant to intercede because this was a religious institution and more importantly to them it was Islamic. Senior law enforcement authorities of the Nashville police department informed me they were afraid of being sued by Islamic organizations such as CAIR if they got involved and it would be a political nightmare to get anything done at the mosque. What bothered me most of all is the fact I contacted Islamic organizations to help this innocent Muslim child and they also balked. This reinforced to me that Islamic law (Sharia) is alive and very active inside our country, to include child marriages. The next mosque I am going to discuss is led by an Islamic leader I have previously described as the most dangerous man in America.
At Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn, NY is led by an Islamic scholar who is not only a major fundraiser for CAIR (terrorist supporter) but travels throughout the U.S. teaching his violent ideology of Islam. He is Imam Siraj Wahhaj. For those who have never visited the Islamic district of Brooklyn it would come to a surprise to many that the area around At Taqwa is similar to the Wahhabi land of Saudi Arabia. I have previously described Wahhaj as the most dangerous man in America. I have reviewed hundreds of his Friday (Juma) mosque lectures.
In this speech (MP3) he tells his followers that around the world Muslims will wake up and say
| “I don’t want to follow the way of the colonial masters any more. I want the Sharia. I want Islam. We want to be ruled by Islam. And all we have to do is go back to that golden generation.” |
He routinely called America an evil country and is a strong leader in developing Sharia law inside our country. His violent lectures are available to the adult and child Muslims throughout America.
“Those who struggle for Allah, it doesn’t matter what kind of weapons, I’m telling you it doesn’t matter! You don’t need nuclear weapons or even guns! If you have faith in Allah and a knife!! If Allah wants you to win, you will win! Because Allah is the only one who fights. And when his hand is over your hand. whoever is at war against my friends, I declare war on them.”

Sermon by Siraj Wahhaj entitled “Stand Up to Justice,” delivered on May 8, 1992 and distributed as a video. Islamic teachings such as this are what led the Major Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood Murderer, to commit his acts.
Although I have only focused on three mosques that lead the way, introducing Muslim children to violence and hatred, there are hundreds scattered across the U.S. Few states are immune from this growing threat. The violence spewed by these Islamic leaders will ultimately lead to more violence in the name of Islam. I have witnessed firsthand the violence being taught. There are numerous such Islamic centers in NC, FL, VA, NY, and CA.
Unless Muslim parents decry the violent teachings of Islam to their children, there will continue to be more and more Siraj Wahhaj type Islamic leaders in America. The ultimate result will be the suffering of our country as we now see in France, Britain, and Canada.

But they passed on the burger and instead both enjoyed a 10-ounce American Wagyu steak with an $81 price tag.
“The Obama” is one of five burgers on BLT Steak’s “Political Burger Board.” It’s an 8-ounce American Kobe burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, burnt tomato ketchup, and scallion mustard. American Kobe beef is from a line of Japanese Wagyu cattle prized for its fat marbling. The burger sells for $28.
The “Bi Partisan” burger, $32, is an 8-ounce burger with Maine lobster, white cheddar cheese, and black truffle buttermilk dressing.
Other burgers include the “Pork Barrel,” “Cuban Missile,” and “BLT Monument.”
The Obamas enjoyed their meal in a private dining room, CNS News reported.
The restaurant’s assistant general manager told the Foodorama blog that Michelle Obama “dines with us quite regularly.”
Other items on the menu include a dozen oysters for $34, a bone-in rib eye steak ($47), sautéed Dover sole ($49), or french fries on the side for $8.
No word if the Obamas washed down the birthday night dinner with a bottle of Chateau Petrus 1984 Pomerol, at $1,200.

ELLENSBURG – Voters want to know where 13th District Washington State House of Representatives candidate Matt Manweller, PhD, stands on the issues.
But that’s not the first question they ask when he shows up to campaign. They want to know how it is he’s a Republican and a college professor too.
“You can see the wheels turning,” he said recently.
It is commonly believed academia leans left. Manweller confirms it, saying there are probably five professors statewide who are openly Republican.
In a book (“The Right Opinion: A Heretic’s Voice from the Ivory Tower”) written to educate the public and also poke fun at himself, Manweller sounds like someone coming out a of social closet.
“I am a Republican,” he writes. “I am also an academic. I am very lonely.”
Manweller uses the book like others use advance teams. He sends it to the organization to which he’s going to speak next.
Dr. Manweller, as he is known on the campus of Central Washington University, is a professor of political science. He started his teaching career as a high school economics teacher.
Manweller thought about running for office before, but he waited until he had tenure (so he couldn’t be canned for being a Republican) and good friend State Rep. Bill Hinkle decided to give up the seat.
Manweller is not only a Republican but also a conservative. His father was a job-creating businessman, and Manweller decided from childhood that conservatism was the right economic approach for America.
“You get an early understanding of the impact of taxes and regulations,” he said.
Manweller’s father started and grew two technology companies in liberal southern California. Then he moved to Boise, Idaho, where the 18-year-old Manweller found a conservative community.
In 1991, Manweller enrolled at Walla Walla’s Whitman College for his sophomore year. The environment was surprisingly liberal, but he stayed true to his conservative roots. He worked his way through college.
Manweller earned his room and board as residential advisor. He was a night watchman from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. three days a week. He worked in the library on weekends.
Manweller graduated from Whitman with a bachelor of science in political science. He went on to a masters in political science at the University of Montana. Then he went for his PhD at the University of Oregon.
Manweller could not have chosen a greater test of character. The Oregon experience was like having someone swing a 2X4 as strongly as humanly possible at your head.
“But if you really want the true flavor of it…have him call you names. Fascist, Racist. Nazi,” he wrote.
Manweller stuck to his guns and has been sticking to them at Central. Very few people share his points of view, yet he’s bold.
He was president of the faculty senate and chairman of the Kittitas County Republican party at the same time, during 2010-11. He has a Friday radio show on KXLE, between Michael Medved and Rush Limbaugh.
Manweller wrote a column for the Ellensburg Daily Record for eight years. He had to give it up (an unfair advantage) after he announced his run.
The third column he wrote, in 2004, went viral. It related why he’d vote for George W. Bush over John Kerry.
The paper had no real internet presence, but the column spread like wildfire, especially among admiring conservatives. Then emails from the left started pouring in. It ended up hundreds of letters at half-and-half.
The column got Manweller his 15 minutes of fame. He was a phone-in guest on conservative talk shows, including Laura Ingraham and Michael Savage.
“It’s the story of how an obscure academic, teaching at an even more obscure university, became, for a short period of time, a state, national and international figure…and then became obscure again,” Manweller wrote.
During that time, other CWU professors wanted Manweller fired, Manweller noted, and one tried to accomplish that. Manwelller weathered that storm because the university president believed free speech extended to everyone.
But Manweller understands the opposition and from whence it comes. Most professors know nothing but government support – for their educations, for their places of work and for their livelihoods.
“So you think taxes are a good thing,” he said. “You think big budgets are a good thing.”
Not Manweller. He believes in self-reliance, free markets, free trade, few taxes and limited government. And he believes in the sanctity of life and traditional (one man, one woman) marriage.

An Alternate Look at Handgun Stopping Power

I’ve been interested in firearm stopping power for a very long time. I
remember reading Handguns magazine back in the late 1980s when
Evan Marshall was writing articles about his stopping power studies.
When Marshall’s first book came out in 1992, I ordered it immediately,
despite the fact that I was a college student and really couldn’t afford
its $39 price tag. Over the years I bought all of the rest of Marshall’s
books as well as anything else I could find on the subject. I even have
a first edition of Gunshot Injuries by Louis Lagarde published in 1915.
Are any of these better than another?
Every source I read has different recommendations. Some say Marshall’s data is genius. Some say it is statistically impossible.
Some like big heavy bullets. Some like lighter, faster bullets. There isn’t any consensus. The more I read, the more confused I get.
One thing I remember reading that made a lot of sense to me was an article by Massad Ayoob. He came out with his own stopping
power data around the time Marshall published Handgun Stopping Power. In the article, Ayoob took his critics to task. He
suggested that if people didn’t believe his data, they should collect their own and do their own analysis. That made sense to me. So
that’s just what I did. I always had a slight problem with the methodology of Marshall and Sanow’s work. For consistency purposes,
they ONLY included hits to the torso and ONLY included cases where the person was hit with just a single round. Multiple hits
screwed up their data, so they excluded them. This lead to an unrealistically high stopping power percentage, because it factored
out many of the cases where a person didn’t stop! I wanted to look at hits anywhere on the body and get a realistic idea of actual
stopping power, no matter how many hits it took to get it. So I started collecting data.
Over a 10-year period, I kept track of stopping power results from every shooting I could find. I talked to the participants of
gunfights, read police reports, attended autopsies, and scoured the newspapers, magazines, and Internet for any reliable accounts
of what happened to the human body when it was shot.
I documented all of the data I could; tracking caliber, type of bullet (if known), where the bullet hit and whether or not the person was
incapacitated. I also tracked fatalities, noting which bullets were more likely to kill and which were not. It was an exhaustive project,
but I’m glad I did it and I’m happy to report the results of my study here.
Before I get to the details, I must give a warning. I don’t have any dog in this fight! I don’t sell ammo. I’m not being paid by any
firearm or ammunition manufacturer. I carry a lot of different pistols for self defense. Within the last 2 weeks, I’ve carried a .22
magnum, a .380 auto, a .38 spl revolver, 3 different 9mm autos and a .45 auto.
I don’t have an axe to grind. If you are happy with
your 9mm, I’m happy for you. If you think that everyone should be carrying a .45 (because they don’t make a .46), I’m cool with that
too. I’m just reporting the data. If you don’t like it, take Mr. Ayoob’s advice…do a study of your own.
A few notes on terminology…
Since it was my study, I got to determine the variables and their definitions. Here’s what I looked at:
- Number of people shot
- Number of rounds that hit
- On average, how many rounds did it take for the person to stop his violent action or be incapacitated?
For this number, I included hits anywhere on the body. To be considered an immediate incapacitation, I used criteria similar to
Marshall’s. If the attacker was striking or shooting the victim, the round needed to immediately stop the attack without another blow
being thrown or shot being fired. If the person shot was in the act of running (either towards or away from the shooter), he must
have fallen to the ground within five feet.
I also excluded all cases of accidental shootings or suicides. Every shot in this study took place during a military battle or an
altercation with a criminal.
- What percentage of shooting incidents resulted in fatalities. For this, I included only hits to the head or torso.
- What percentage of people were not incapacitated no matter how many rounds hit them
- Accuracy. What percentage of hits was in the head or torso. I tracked this to check if variations could affect stopping power. For
example, if one caliber had a huge percentage of shootings resulting in arm hits, we may expect that the stopping power of that
round wouldn’t look as good as a caliber where the majority of rounds hit the head.
- One shot stop percentage – number of incapacitations divided by the number of hits the person took. Like Marshall’s number, I
only included hits to the torso or head in this number.
- Percentage of people who were immediately stopped with one hit to the head or torso

Discussion
I really would have liked to break it down by
individual bullet type, but I didn’t have
enough data points to reach a level of
statistical significance. Getting accurate
data on nearly 1800 shootings was hard
work. I couldn’t imagine breaking it down
farther than what I did here. I also believe
the data for the .25, .32 and .44 magnum
should be viewed with suspicion. I simply
don’t have enough data (in comparison to
the other calibers) to draw an accurate
comparison. I reported the data I have, but I
really don’t believe that a .32 ACP
incapacitates people at a higher rate than
the .45 ACP!
One other thing to look at is the 9mm data. A huge number (over half) of 9mm shootings involved ball ammo. I think that skewed the
results of the study in a negative manner. One can reasonable expect that FMJ ammo will not stop as well as a state of the art
expanding bullet. I personally believe that the 9mm is a better stopper than the numbers here indicate, but you can make that
decision for yourself based on the data presented.
Some interesting findings:
I think the most interesting statistic is the percentage of
people who stopped with one shot to the torso or head. There
wasn’t much variation between calibers. Between the most
common defensive calibers (.38, 9mm, .40, and .45) there
was a spread of only eight percentage points. No matter what
gun you are shooting, you can only expect a little more than
half of the people you shoot to be immediately incapacitated
by your first hit.
The average number of rounds until incapacitation was also
remarkably similar between calibers. All the common
defensive calibers required around 2 rounds on average to
incapacitate. Something else to look at here is the question of
how fast can the rounds be fired out of each gun.
The .38 SPL probably has the slowest rate
of fire (long double action revolver trigger
pulls and stout recoil in small revolvers) and
the fewest rounds fired to get an
incapacitation (1.87). Conversely the 9mm
can probably be fired fastest of the common
calibers and it had the most rounds fired to
get an incapacitation (2.45). The .40 (2.36)
and the .45 (2.08) split the difference. It is
my personal belief that there really isn’t
much difference between each of these
calibers.
It is only the fact that some guns can be
fired faster than others that causes the
perceived difference in stopping power. If a
person takes an average of 5 seconds to
stop after being hit, the defender who shoots
a lighter recoiling gun can get more hits in
that time period. It could be that fewer
rounds would have stopped the attacker
(given enough time) but the ability to fire more quickly resulted in more hits being put onto the attacker. It may not have anything to
do with the stopping power of the round.
Another data piece that leads me to believe
that the majority of commonly carried defensive
rounds are similar in stopping power is the fact
that all four have very similar failure rates. If
you look at the percentage of shootings that did
not result in incapacitation, the numbers are
almost identical. The .38, 9mm, .40, and .45 all
had failure rates of between 13% and 17%.
Some people will look at this data and say “He’s telling us all
to carry .22s”. That’s not true. Although this study showed
that the percentages of people stopped with one shot are
similar between almost all handgun cartridges, there’s more
to the story. Take a look at two numbers: the percentage of
people who did not stop (no matter how many rounds were
fired into them) and the one-shot-stop percentage. The lower
caliber rounds (.22, .25, .32) had a failure rate that was
roughly double that of the higher caliber rounds. The oneshot-
stop percentage (where I considered all hits, anywhere
on the body) trended generally higher as the round gets more
powerful. This tells us a couple of things…
In a certain (fairly high) percentage of shootings, people stop
their aggressive actions after being hit with one round
regardless of caliber or shot placement. These people are
likely NOT physically incapacitated by the bullet. They just
don’t want to be shot anymore and give up! Call it a
psychological stop if you will. Any bullet or caliber
combination will likely yield similar results in those cases. And fortunately for us, there are a lot of these “psychological stops”
occurring. The problem we have is when we don’t get a psychological stop. If our attacker fights through the pain and continues to
victimize us, we might want a round that causes the most damage possible. In essence, we are relying on a “physical stop” rather
than a “psychological” one. In order to physically force someone to stop their violent actions we need to either hit him in the Central
Nervous System (brain or upper spine) or cause enough bleeding that he becomes unconscious. The more powerful rounds look to
be better at doing this.
One other factor to consider is that the majority of these shootings did NOT involve shooting through intermediate barriers, cover or
heavy clothing. If you anticipate having to do this in your life (i.e. you are a police officer and may have to shoot someone in a car),
again, I would lean towards the larger or more powerful rounds.
What I believe that my numbers show is that in the majority of shootings, the person shot merely gives up without being truly
incapacitated by the bullet. In such an event, almost any bullet will perform admirably. If you want to be prepared to deal with
someone who won’t give up so easily, or you want to be able to have good performance even after shooting through an
intermediate barrier, I would skip carrying the “mouse gun” .22s, .25s and .32s.
Now compare the numbers of the handgun calibers with the numbers generated by the rifles and shotguns. For me there really isn’t
a stopping power debate. All handguns suck! If you want to stop someone, use a rifle or shotgun!
What matters even more than caliber is shot placement.
Across all calibers, if you break down the incapacitations
based on where the bullet hit you will see some useful
information.
Head shots = 75% immediate incapacitation
Torso shots = 41% immediate incapacitation
Extremity shots (arms and legs) = 14% immediate
incapacitation.
No matter which caliber you use, you have to hit something
important in order to stop someone!
Conclusion
This study took me a long time and a lot of effort to complete. Despite the work it took, I’m glad I did it. The results I got from the
study lead me to believe that there really isn’t that much difference between most defensive handgun rounds and calibers. None is
a death ray, but most work adequately…even the lowly .22s. I’ve stopped worrying about trying to find the “ultimate” bullet. There
isn’t one. And I’ve stopped feeling the need to strap on my .45 every time I leave the house out of fear that my 9mm doesn’t have
enough “stopping power.” Folks, carry what you want. Caliber really isn’t all that important.
Take a look at the data. I hope it helps you decide what weapon to carry. No matter which gun you choose, pick one that is reliable
and train with it until you can get fast accurate hits. Nothing beyond that really matters!
