The Old World



Overview

This is The Old World. It's the main land we have been using for AD&D;, for many years. The land is very complex, having many well developed countries, governments, and cultures. You can view the large map of The Old World, but this is a large file at 1.4 MB. The basic map layout is borrowed from Palladium (but the countries are different).

Theobold III is the king, and has a volatile temper

This country is not at ease - getting decadent
Autocracy/Monarchy, with similarities to Czarist Russia

Thyatis

No longer uses chariots
The "Triumph" is a victory parade
Monarchy/Empire, with the style of Byzantine Rome

Not a nice place to live
Heretic hunting (by Pholtus followers)
"Pholtus has transcended Pelor"
A Theocracy, with the style of Inquisition Spain

Nordheim

Vikings in a Yarldom
Yarls have to be respected by their people (or they'll be dumped in the river)
Like old Norway/Iceland

Tarna

Ruled by Wemics (centaurs) and is peaceful
There are humans here
Raja-Satarna is the king (advised by a female counsel of six wemics)
