I haven't had the opportunity to get my hands on The Witcher or it's sequel, Assassins of Kings, which came out last May for the PC. Now that it's finally making its way to the Xbox 360, I'll have my chance to see what everyone loves about this game. For the unfamiliar, Assassins of Kings is a third person fantasy RPG that throws you into the shoes of a Witcher -- a badass demon hunter -- who's battling with a severe case of amnesia. The PC version was a huge success, but its console sibling is going to be a little different. Watch the video below to find out how.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings releases on the Xbox 360 on April 17.

If you're like me you aren't watching the superbowl because you just don't care. If you're keeping busy while everyone around you watches intently and won't stop yelling. Final Fantasy XIII-2 was released this past Tuesday, and if you were brave enough to spend the time to finish XIII, then XIII-2 should be next on your list. Check out the launch trailer below and watch as you get an eyegasm.
While most preorder bonuses usually include things like unlockable weapons and character skins, like a badass costume inspired by Ash from Evil Dead for example, Capcom's offering a very different incentive to preorder the upcoming Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. The first 1,000 people to preorder the game at the Capcom store will receive an extremely display-worthy sign. Check it out below.
Damn, that would look incredible on my wall. I'm sure you recognize it -- it's a replica of the Welcome to Raccoon City sign that greets people as they enter the last city they'll see before they're eaten alive. The sign itself is 18" x 10", made of metal, and comes free with your purchase of the game. If you'd like to be one of the lucky few to own one, I suggest preordering this Operation Raccoon City right away.
In the coming weeks, I'd like to do a video series to help shine the spotlight on some lesser-known games. To get things started, I thought it would fun to take a look at a game that I'm amazed even exists. Last June, eleven years after the release of American McGee's Alice, EA released a sequel, Alice: Madness Returns. Recently, I picked the game up on sale and was pleasantly surprised at what I found. Check out the video below to see why it may be worth your time.
Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, PC. Price: $39.99 (consoles), $29.99 (PC). If you have a game you'd like me to check out, or just some feedback, tell me! donallendoes@gmail.com
It isn't a secret that Mac computers get the dick as far as video game releases are concerned. But a lucky few get squeezed through. Some take longer than others, but RAGE: Campaign Edition is now available for Mac users worldwide. Lucky you, you'll have access to the sewer missions I missed out on because I didn't buy the DLC or pre-order the game. You buy, now?
First off, fuck you for calling your game The Last of Us. Do you have any idea how difficult that makes it for me to come up with awesome titles for these news blurbs, when I have to include that awkward name? While the game's stunning trailer debut consisted entirely of in-game footage, it's difficult trying to scour every pixel when everything is moving. The good thing about screenshots is they're like me -- unmoving and here for your viewing pleasure.
The Last of Us is being developed by Naughty Dog, the studio behind one of the most graphically amazing series of this generation. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that this is a beautiful game. Head past the break for a few more screenshots of this intriguing PS3 exclusive!
Games are slowly starting jump on the Kinect bandwagon. Not so much for it's touchless capabilities, but for voice commands. Halo: Anniversary uses voice commands, which I am too lazy to deal with, and now Mass Effect 3 will be as well. Check out how smoothly it seems to work below.
Don't forget the demo comes out on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 on Valentines Day.
It might not have a release date, but that's not going to stop us from talking about Lollipop Chainsaw preorder incentives! I'm usually not one for preordering games, but as a horror fan, GameStop's Ash costume might be worth it. If you're not one to shy away from tough decisions, preordering the game at GameStop will let you dress as Ash from Evil Dead. If you're a PowerUp Rewards member you'll also get Mindless Self Indulgence's Jimmy Urine (who's also working on the game's soundtrack)
If all that doesn't tickle your fashionista fancy, Amazon is offering a Rockabilly costume, and Best Buy has a Goth Girl and a Foxy Funk outfit. If you'd like to make a more informed decision, head past the jump to see all of the costumes in action.
Yesterday we got familiar with the soldiers in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, and in this newly released gameplay video we get a look at another character in the game: Nemesis. That's right, he's back and sporting that nifty forearm-mounted rail gun from Resident Evil: Apocalypse. I would've preferred the RE3 Nemesis, complete with tentacle arms, but I'm a known supporter of more tentacle action in video games, so I could be a little bias.
Head past the break for the video, and tell me what you think? Are you looking forward to getting all up in Nemesis' nasty grill when Operation Raccoon City releases on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on March 20?
I'm still patiently waiting to see some gameplay from The Last Of Us. In the mean time, we can all enjoy so motion capture awesomeness, and then see the results past the break. You can also learn a bit about your main voice actors.
Capcom released a new trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, a game I can now say is coming next month. This video's a little different from the previous one because it focuses more on the various members of the US Spec Ops and USS (Umbrella Security Service) teams, and their abilities. There are some powers shown off in the trailer, and after watching through it I've decided I'll be playing as Party Girl. Why? Because I like to party.
Operation Raccoon City releases on February 20, for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Head past the break to check out the new trailer, and after you've watched it I'd very much like to know who you'll be playing as.
Designer Suda 51 is known for his punk rock edge. You can see and hear it in all of his games, from No More Heroes to Shadows of the Damned. His next game, Lollipop Chainsaw will continue this tradition by bringing in the electrifying work of James Euringer, or Little Jimmy Urine. Euringer is the front-man, songwriter, and programmer for the band, Mindless Self Indulgence, as well as another band called The Left Rights. I can't say I've heard of either, but I'm also admittedly a little musically illiterate.
Euringer's work will be heard in the boss bights and he'll even voice Zed, one of the bosses, who you can check out after the jump. Lollipop Chainsaw doesn't yet have a release date, but it will be out this year for the PS3 and Xbox 360. In related news, stay tuned for a special Lollipop Chainsaw-related event that will happen very soon.
Resident Evil 6 might be the Capcom title that's on everyone's mind right now, but we shouldn't forget about their upcoming foray into the open-world fantasy RPG market with Dragon's Dogma. The game looks epic, and now Resident Evil fans have a big reason to check it out when Dragon's Dogma releases on May 22 for the Xbox 360 and PS3, because it'll come packed with the demo for Resident Evil 6.
Not sure if the next installment in Capcom's longstanding horror-ish franchise is going to be more Resident Evil 5 than 4? Come May, you'll have a chance to actually play the game and decide for yourself. Resident Evil 6 releases on the Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 20, with the PC version following sometime later.
If you are a fan of the TV show Parks and Recreation, and Star Wars, the video below is right up your alley. Watch as Chris Pratt (Andy Dwyer) takes on Darth Vader himself. Kinect Star Wars is looking at an April 2012 release exclusively for the Xbox 360 Kinect.
We've been waiting for Aliens: Colonial Marines for a damn long time. After the release of Aliens Vs Predator, we want it even more now. This trailer will delight, entice, and excite you, as we sit in quiet anticipation for what has the makings to be the best Aliens games of all time.
Fall, of this year, on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.
A little over a week ago I posted about IGN and James Gunn's search for a real life Juliet Starling. Well, they finally picked the contestants. Time to vote! So vote for Jessica! You can check out all the contestants HERE. Scroll down past the contestants to vote. No signing in or signing up necessary. You can check out all the contestants, but Jessica is the best. She also has the best costume and a totally badass chainsaw.
We are just over a week away from the long awaited sequel to The Darkness, and I can't friggen wait. Check out some of the brutal executions you'll be able to do this February 7th on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.
It took a while, but Dead Island will finally be getting it's first dose of story DLC with Ryder White. In it you play as the game's main baddie, colonel Ryder White, who I will always remember as one of the most frustrating boss fights I've ever had the misfortune of playing in a video game. Seriously, that entire rooftop sequence sucked rotting zombie balls. In fact, when I get the DLC, I think I'll let Ryder White die a couple dozen times over, as revenge for being a part of that fight. Yeah, that sounds fun.
Ryder White releases on February 1st for xbox 360, PS3, and PC. It'll charge 800 MSP, or $10 in real money for "several hours" of gameplay, some plot twists, and the chance to watch Ryder White get his ugly face bashed in by curb-stomp happy infected. Head past the jump for the DLC trailer.
According to the cheevo list for Alan Wake's American Nightmare, we can expect a happy ending, to rewrite reality (multiple times), and another manuscript scavenger hunt. Wake's next adventure is less than a month away (Feb 22), and while it might not have the same scale as its predecessor, it's still packed with enough content to keep even the most hardcore Wake fans happy.
Head past the break for the dozen cheevos, and while you're there you should definitely tell me how pumped you are for this game and it's exciting new Fight til' Dawn mode.
