According to CNet, December's numbers reveal a 7% increase from November's 5.45 million daily count. These totals are based off of the top 200 free apps in the United States, including paid apps would result in an obvious increase.
With over 37 million iPhones sold during the last quarter of 2011 alone, it comes to little surprise that free apps flew off the digital shelves during the holiday season.
