Every day hundreds of new apps make their debut on the App Store, and hundreds more are updated or reduced in price. We have sifted through the noise and highlighted those select few that might be worth your attention.

Game Debuts

JAZZ: Trump's Journey ($2.99)
Jazz: Trump's Journey is a high-concept platformer. Gamers play as Trump, a 1920s Jazzman making his way through New Orleans. The highlight of the game might end up being it's soundtrack. IGN will have more Jazz coverage very soon.

Soulcalibur ($11.99)
Namco's classic fighting game is finally available on iOS. It's missing multiplayer and story mode, and $12 is a little steep, but in Namco's defense the app is Universal. Hopefully fewer and fewer developers will require gamers to purchase apps separately for iPad and iPhone.

ASH II ($4.99)
Konami's oldschool RPG sequel is here! Gamers can buy the $4.99 "Gold Edition" linked above to get all future chapters for free. A $2.99 "Silver Edition" is also available, which will not include free expansions.

Unstoppable Grog ($4.99)
This tower defense title takes its inspiration from old pulp sci-fi movies. Note that some users are reporting aggressive crash bugs, but Futuremark is generally a reliable company so any issues will likely be addressed quickly.

Order Up!! To Go (Free)
Criminally-underrated Wii cooking game Order Up is back as a free-to-play iOS release. The game is monetized via optional in-app purchases.

Niko ($1.99)
Niko is a polished puzzle platformer from Sulake, the makers of Habbo Hotel.

Greedy Penguins ($0.99)
Chillingo is back, publishing another polished physics puzzler.

Smash Cops ($2.99)
Smash Cops has a simple & elegant premise: Be the police in America's wildest TV chases. Pursue and take down felons across 20 missions, plus extras.

Price Drops

Street Fighter IV Volt ($2.99)
Capcom's fighter is $4 off until January 20.

Tiny Heroes (Free)
Tiny Heroes is one of the best tower defense games to hit iOS in the last 12 months. It's from the makers of geoDefense, and manages to put a genuinely fresh spin on the increasingly crowded genre. It's free for today only, so make sure you don't miss it!

Fifa Soccer 12
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for iPad
SimCity Deluxe for iPad
Tetris for iPad
Real Racing 2
Monopoly for iPad
EA is running a nice sale on several of its biggest iPad and iPhone games. All the titles above are just $0.99, today only.
