Marten MickosChief Executive Officer
Marten Mickos builds global disruptive businesses. As CEO of MySQL AB for seven years, Mickos grew that company from a garage start-up to the second largest open source company in the world. After the acquisition by Sun Microsystems of MySQL AB for $1bn, he served as Senior Vice President of Sun's Database Group.
Previously, Mickos held multi-national CEO and senior executive positions in his native Finland. He is a member of the board of Electrosonic. Mickos holds a M.Sc. in technical physics from Helsinki University of Technology. In 2006 he received the Audemars Piguet "Changing Times Award: European Entrepreneur of the Year 2006" and the Nokia Foundation Award.

Woody RollinsChief Financial Officer
Woody is the Chief Financial Officer and Co-founder of Eucalyptus Systems Inc., the market leader in open source, on-premise, private and hybrid cloud infrastructure software. A serial entrepreneur and passionate about technology, Woody is responsible for the commercial growth and strategic direction of Eucalyptus.
Woody brings a broad background to his role as CFO of Eucalyptus. He has served in many executive and financial roles over the past twenty years. In 2004, Woody co-founded Old Firehouse Capital and successfully innovated a business model to leverage the developing turmoil in real estate capital markets. Prior to that, Woody was involved in industries as diverse as art to auto parts, leveraging technology and finance to change the status quo of mature markets.
Woody is a graduate of The Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He lives in Santa Barbara with his wife and three boys.
Rich WolskiChief Technology Officer
Rich Wolski is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Eucalyptus Systems Inc., and a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Having received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Davis (while a researcher at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory) he has also held positions at the University of California, San Diego, and the University of Tennessee. He is currently also a strategic advisor to the San Diego Supercomputer Center and an adjunct faculty member at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
Rich has led several national scale research efforts in the area of high-performance distributed computing and grid computing, is the author of numerous research articles concerning the empirical study of distributed systems, and is the progenitor of the Eucalyptus project.
Said ZiouaniExecutive Vice President for World Wide Sales
Said Ziouani is the Executive Vice President for World Wide Sales. Ziouani brings deep knowledge of enterprise open source software and a strong track record of success to Eucalyptus Systems. Prior to joining Eucalyptus, he was vice president of sales, vertical markets, for Red Hat, Inc. While at Red Hat, Ziouani developed and executed go-to-market strategies for specific verticals, and he was responsible for over $100 million in sales to global strategic accounts. Prior to his tenure at Red Hat, Ziouani held a number of executive engineering positions, including director of worldwide application engineering at Cygnus Solutions and software engineer at both Cognex Corporation and Polaroid Corp.
Said holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.
Steven FitzgeraldVice President of Technical Services
Steven Fitzgerald is the Vice President of Technical Services and is responsible for expanding our customer support services. He is also involved in supporting product development.
Steve has over 10 years experience in senior IT management and has served as the Information Security Officer, Director of Pioneering Technologies, and Chief Technology Officer for California State University, Northridge. Steve has also participated in a number of research projects associated with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the University of Southern California's Information Sciences Institute. His research and development efforts have focused on high performance computing, grid computing, and identity management. Steve has lead a number of projects to improve IT services by the use of leading-edge technologies.
Steve holds a D.Sc. from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
Tim CramerVice President of Engineering
Tim Cramer is the Vice President of Engineering, which includes management of the development, release, and quality teams for both the Eucalyptus Open Source software and the Eucalyptus Enterprise Edition.
Tim has over 20 years of experience, most recently at Dell as the Director of Systems Management. Previously, he was at Sun Microsystems for 16 years, where he held a variety of engineering management positions in areas including performance, Java Tools, Consumer (TV, Phone, BluRay), and OpenSolaris. His roots are in compiler engineering at Lawrence Livermore National Lab and at startup Supercomputer Systems, Inc. Cramer has expertise in software design, development, release, and sustaining with internationally diverse teams and in open source projects.
Tim holds an Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
David ButlerVice President of Marketing
David leads Eucalyptus' marketing strategy, product strategy and management, and corporate marketing functions. David brings more than 25 years experience with leading start-up and enterprise software companies such as HP Software, Systinet, Spotfire, Netscape, and NeXT Software. His broad range of experience includes the development, introduction, and marketing of software products for cloud computing, data center automation, SOA governance, business intelligence, web application servers, and development tools.
David was most recently the Vice President of Marketing for Digital Reef responsible for establishing on-premise and cloud hosted eDiscovery and Information Governance solutions. Prior to that, David led HP Software's market and product strategy initiative responsible for Private Cloud Computing, Storage Automation software and also was the worldwide SOA Director and Chief Evangelist.
David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Marketing from Boston College and attended the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Graduate School of Management for additional studies in product management.
Andy KnospVice President of Professional Services
Andy Knosp is Vice President of Professional Services and is responsible for Worldwide Consulting and Education Services at Eucalyptus Systems.
Andy brings over 15 years of experience in enterprise software and IT consulting. Most recently, Andy was Senior Director of Professional Services at VMware, where he was responsible for development and marketing of VMware's worldwide professional services business. Prior to his tenure at VMware, Andy held technical leadership positions with EDS (acquired by HP), LoudCloud, and Procter & Gamble.
Andy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
Brady MurrayVice President of Alliances
Brady Murray is the Vice President of Alliances for Eucalyptus Systems; in charge of Eucalyptus' partner ecosystem, including various technology partners, hardware and platform partners, as well as system integrators and resellers. Previously Brady led channel development for a division of National Semiconductor and before that served as an executive at a series of startups in the software, Internet and cleantech spaces. Prior to that Brady spent several years leading business development for Sycamore Networks, a leading networking equipment company which he helped to take public. Brady began his career providing investment banking services for technology companies while working at Morgan Stanley.
Brady holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College.
