Salespeople: San Francisco or Los Angeles

Salon seeks ambitious, creative sales people in San Francisco, Los Angeles and potentially other major cities. Did you know Salon was one of the very first Internet sites to have an ad? That was way back in 1995. Since then, we’ve developed a reputation for advertising innovation and the trend continues. Traffic is larger than ever, and we have several new exciting features soon to debut. It’s a great time to get in front of advertisers who can appreciate one of the web’s most intelligent, influential, and affluent audiences.

Working out of our San Francisco headquarters or offices in Manhattan Beach (LA), you’ll call on agencies and clients throughout the west. You’ll have a ball working across department lines to create innovative marketing programs for your clients, while representing a site that has something new to say every day. Bring your contacts and show how proactive you can be. You’ll need to travel occasionally and be able to work with minimal supervision. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in online media is required, and you must be thoroughly versed in CPMs and third-party ad serving. Video experience is a huge plus. In your reply, please mention which brands you think would be well suited to Salon and why. We look forward to hearing from you. Send your resume to salesjobs@salon.com.
