I have a dozen crazy Skylanders figurines on my desk, and a Portal of Power that hasn't been turned on since I beat the game a few weeks back, so it is with great excitement that I say Activision has announced Skylanders Giants, the official sequel to the hottest kids game of 2011.

What makes Skylanders Giants so special? Well it's got giants in it. Seriously, Activision is releasing eight additional giant sized Skylanders characters, in addition to eight regular sized characters, and new elemental types.



The best part: your old Portal of Power and Skylanders figures are fully compatible with the new game, and they keep all their leveling and upgrades. So my level 10 Drobot will kick just as much ass in the sequel.

I'm more excited than I reasonably should be. Surely there are a few of you out there that are psyched as well, right?
