Submissions

If you’re looking to bring your comics to mobile platforms through iVerse Media you’ve come to the right place. Thank you for considering us. Please read the guidelines below carefully before submitting any material to iVerse.

iVerse Submission Guidelines

When submitting your material to iVerse there are a few things you need to keep in mind:

iVerse works with publishers! iVerse is a digital distributor of content, and a software development company that provides distribution and service to comic book publishers of all shapes and sizes. ?It doesn’t matter if you’re a self-publisher with one title, or a multi-media company with hundreds of franchise properties, but you must be an actual company for iVerse to consider your material.

(There are a few exceptions to this, for example if you are working with a publisher, but your material is completely creator-owned. Certain Image Comics titles are a good example. In these cases, everything will need to be cleared with the print publisher to ensure that the digital rights are available.)

If you are a creator and you’re not interested in running the business side of comics — That’s ok! ?We work with a number of fantastic publishers who can provide you with the support you’ll need to get your work out both in print and digitally. ?Submit your material to any one of our publisher partners (but be sure to follow their own publishing guidelines), and we’ll be happy and excited to release it through their brand.

“R” is as hard as it gets! The App approval process can be a trying and rocky road sometimes – and there is no guarantee that your work is going to get approved by Apple and be released in the iTunes App Store. ?The more risque or controversial your content, the less likely it may be to get approved through this process. ?Overly violent, or overly sexualized content that reaches beyond what you would see in an “R” rated feature film is not going to be something we can distribute at this time.

We distribute. We do not publish. iVerse is not a comic publisher – and we do not provide page rates of any kind for your work. ?Like most distributors, iVerse takes a small percentage of sales in exchange for providing software, marketing, and in some cases even adapting your work to the mobile screen. At iVerse publishers make more money off their work than anyone else involved.

Be professional – or forget it. At iVerse we love working with industry professionals of all kinds – and it’s important that your first impression conveys that you are, in fact, a professional. ?Please do not send us a link to your Facebook gallery in an email with nothing else to go on. ?Don’t send an email asking “how much am I going to make off doing my comix with u?”

These will be immediately deleted.

Instead, send us a short email letting us know who you are, and why you’d like to work with us.

So, What are we looking for?

Everything.

At iVerse we love comics of all kinds. ?From Superhero to Slice of Life – if it’s comics, iVerse wants to see it.

We do get an amazing amount of submissions, however, and as a result – we need you to be brief. ?If there is any chance of actually getting your material reviewed, you must keep your pitch short. ?It should be no more than one written paragraph describing your material. ?We also need to see it. ?So we need links to where the material can be viewed online.

iVerse is a digital company – we do not review print comics for consideration. ?If it’s going to be distributed by iVerse, it must be available digitally.

Again, it’s important to remember that we are not publishers. ?iVerse is not looking for material that fits a certain brand or genre. ?As a result, we do not need a lengthy pitch about the universe surrounding the property or the intricate details of the story. ?What we DO need to see is that your work is of professional quality.

That’s all it takes.
