Sprint Sierra Wireless Compass 597

By Mariella at 04/04/2008

At the CTIA Wireless, Sprint and Sierra Wireless presented the country’s smallest USB modem–Sierra Wireless Compass 597. As small as a packet of gum, the modem serves as connection to the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network. Using the USB modem on your system entails automatic installation of the Sprint SmartView software. The connection to Sprint Mobile Broadband Network is also only a click away. The system is most compatible with EV-DO Rev. A technology, although it can also be used with EV-DO Rev. 0 and 1XRTT. Internet access aside, the diminutive modem also has GPS functionalities, an expandable micro SD card slot, and an integrate antenna. The Sierra Wireless Compass 597 will be available this April for $49.99 after a $50 rebate and a two year contract with Sprint.
